WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WORK WITH ME

Because I cover multiple administrative functions within the firm, my dedication, curiosity, strategic approach and drive to make things function optimally make every day exciting. I am both a quick learner and an advocate for change when I see an opportunity for improvement. While striving to be thorough and accurate, I am also an efficient and effective juggler of multiple simultaneous projects. Some have called me “a bit boisterous” because I’m so passionate about our firm and what we do.

OVERVIEW

Sam’s role at Garrison is to assist the firm partners who place associate-level attorneys in law firms and in-house lawyers in corporate legal departments. Much of his responsibility in supporting these colleagues includes researching and identifying suitable candidates based on the unique criteria provided by each client. He creates detailed reports to assist in the candidate selection process, manages candidate logistics and interviews and provides other as-needed support to the Garrison team. Sam is a master of database management, fully understanding how critical pristine data is to candidate identification. In addition, Sam is responsible for running firmwide weekly status meetings, planning firm events, writing internal operational how-to guides, and serving as primary contact for both the firm’s outside IT and database support services. His multi-faceted role also includes internal technical support and training for all Garrison employees when needed.

OUTSIDE THE OFFICE

When not busy helping Garrison provide superior client service, chances are I’m either watching football or a great movie. Because I’m originally from Seattle, I’m a die-hard Seahawks fan. I also love movies, especially action and science fiction, which goes along with my taste in literary fiction: political novels such as George Orwell’s dystopian works are my favorite.

Whenever I can, I go to plays, play flag football with friends, go on a hike in the Blue Ridge Mountains or just locally in Rock Creek Park and travel overseas. I’ve traveled to both Europe and the Middle East.
